I am an expat living and working in Thailand for almost a decade.  I started this site when I realized it is the normal every day aspects of life that challenge a foreigner. This site is not meant to point out every aspect that is different from Western and Thai culture.  The simple fact that you traveled to another country would by default indicate there are going to be some if not many differences.   This challenge, as I have framed it, isn't just person in a foreign country frustrations, it is often just knowing how to get a common thing accomplished -- no frustration involved.  Where are common areas to get x or y? How do I get x?  Can I get x?  What should I do when x happens?  There are many more examples. A lot of frustrations Westerners face are simply in the not knowing what the expectation is of them or others around them.
